Since most of our products require vacuum technology, we develop many components related to vacuum technology. The vacuum-compatible positioning mechanism for our probes, for example, can also be used to move other components fully automatically in a vacuum.
Vacuum positioning mechanism – screw drive

The positioning mechanism allows parts to be moved in a vacuum. This makes it possible to resolve local congestion or to guide parts through different zones. We usually supply an aluminum or stainless steel rod with a thread for attachment. The standard method of attachment to the chamber is via a KF40 flange. The screw drive enables:
- Self-locking (no brake required)
- Travel distance up to 60 cm
- Variable offset (zero position can already mean a distance from the flange)
- Speeds up to 1 cm/s
Vacuum positioning mechanism – belt drive
